On the occasion of World Rabies Day, Parikrama Veterinary Science College, Kashti

On the occasion of World Rabies Day, Parikrama Veterinary Science College, Kashti, in association with the Maharashtra Government Department of Animal Husbandry Veterinary Hospital , Kashti, organized a large-scale Anti-Rabies Vaccination Drive.
The initiative aimed at raising awareness about the dangers of rabies and ensuring preventive care for animals. Veterinary doctors, students, and volunteers from the @parikramavet college actively participated in the campaign. Free rabies vaccinations were administered, and guidance was given to pet owners and villagers about safe animal handling and first aid in case of dog bites.
Speaking on the occasion, the president of Parikrama Dr. Pratibha Pachpute @dr.pratibhabpachpute madam emphasized that rabies is a 100% preventable disease if timely vaccination is ensured. The drive also focused on the importance of a One Health approach, highlighting the connection between animal health, human health, and community well-being.
The event witnessed strong participation from local residents, with many bringing their for vaccination. Poster and reels were also organized to spread knowledge about rabies prevention.
