The Department of Animal Genetics and Breeding is fully equipped with boards and multiple charts to ensure that students can easily learn their course material in addition to the basics required for building their foundation. Keeping in mind the VCI norms, the undergraduate laboratory also has a phase contrast microscope, 20 microscopes, slide boxes with slides and racks for keeping any specimens or models designed by the students for future use. The computer laboratory boasts a count of at least 20 computers, each one working on a LAN connectivity, which can be used for efficiently performing practical assignments based on computers as well as minor statistical work. In addition the department also has the central computer laboratory with 30 desktop computers for providing rigorous practical training under university rules.
